Abstract: The subject of this study is the image of ethnopolitical Other framed on the Internet. The author formulates a hypothesis that the image of the Other is structured as a combination of various markers, which can be united into four groups of patterns: alimentarism, vestigency, sexuality, and ethnopolitical aspect. While the virtual space of the modern Internet and its byproducts (social networks, forums, search engines) aptly accumulate in themselves, and like a litmus test, reveals certain markers of designing the image of ethnopolitical Other. Research methodology leans on the theoretical basis of structuralism reflected in the works of the prominent ethnologist C. Lévi-Strauss, as well as includes the methods of Internet data collection, compilation of correlation matrix, calculation of Pearson correlation coefficient for each of the structural markers, and identification of the strongest correlation links between these markers. For designing, structuring and classification of the models of Ethnopolitical Other, the author applies visualization of correlation links between markers on a plane. The main conclusions consists in the following: identification of the basic general models of otherness in accordance with the obtained structural markers of the Other; determination of the three important independent models: Americans, Chinese, Ukrainians with high level of alert (alert-aggressive); majority of the models of the Other, related to the ethnoses of former Soviet republics, have common structural markers from various groups. The conducted research suggests the new method of modeling of the image of Other, also aimed at identification and understanding of certain negative sides of these processes.

Abstract: This article is dedicated to the examination of evolution of the theoretical-methodological approaches towards comprehension of the phenomenon of Other/Alien as an object of historical-culturological discourse. The authors hold the view that initially the phenomenon of otherness was a subject of philosophical comprehension, but with the development of scientific thought, technologies and mediatization of the modern society, the problem of Other/Alien acquires a qualitatively new characteristic. The interest to the phenomenon of Other/Alien is not coincidental, as its defined primarily due to the escalated attention from mass media, journalism, literature, politics and other spheres of social life. However the key problem at that level is the method of labeling of Other/Alien. This article represents a continuation of the studies on evolution of the theoretical-methodological approaches to the problem of Other/Alien. The previous worked has already dicussed the interest of the ancient authors, medieval theologians, and thinkers of the Age of Enlightenment of Modern History to this problem, as well as the philosophes of such disciplines as phenomenology (E. Husserl), ethical philosophy (E. Levinas), existentialism (J-P. Sartre). In the current article, the authors reveal the approaches to the problem of Other/Alien in the works of M. M. Bakhtin, B. Waldenfels, P. Ricœurl; postmodernists J. Derrida, G. Deleuze, F. Guattari; structural psychoanalyst J. Lacan; theoretician of orientalism E. Said; and other post-colonialists, supporters of small groups (SubAltern Studies), Russian culturologists and historians.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of experience in crosscultural communication under the conditions of the Far Eastern frontier where, based on the authors, there are completely different patterns of cultural development. Within the framework of this research, the object of the research is Tatar migrant community of the Asian North East and the subject of the research is crosscultural communication with reference to the lifestyle of Tatar community living under the frontier conditions. Based on this, the authors set a research objective to define and analyze cultural patterns typical for the process of adaptation and integration of Tatar community in the socio-cultural space of China and Japan. Taking into account the fact that this objective is developed at the crossing point of several research problems, the authors make an attempt to analyze the object of their research using such methodological instruments as the frontier theory that allows to transfer methodological instruments from the sphere of history into the sphere of cultural studies as well as the theory of crossculturl communication that reveals dynamics of transformation of cultural patterns in terms of the 'encounter with the Other/Alien'. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the experience of crosscultural communication under the conditions of Far Eastern frontier reveals important laws of culture development in such heterotopic communities. Retrospective analysis of adaptation and integration of Tatar communities into a new socio-cultural environment allows to conclude that the decisive role in the process has been played by several factors: political, religious, national and external. Analysis of transformation of cultural patterns under conditions that were new for Tatar migrans has also revealed changes in linguistic, vestimentary and alimentary cultural characteristics through preserving old elements and adopting new elements of culture.

Abstract: The article is devoted to such phenomenon of modern popular culture as superheroic comic series. Taking into account the fact that American comic series have long ago broken the tether of such American culture and comic series have taken an important place in cultural and economic clusters of the majority of today's countries, the theme of the present research article remains topical up to now. The author of the article examines the culture forming role of an American superhero of comic series from the point of view of the culturological problem of the Other/Alien image. In particular, the author analyzes such phenomena of popular culture as cosplay, fan communities, fan festivals and costumized heroism. The research is based on theoretical and methodological approaches of J. Lacan and S. Zizek that allow to view the problem of heroism in historical perspective through the prism of psychoanalytical methodology. J. Derrida's works have also played an important role in this research, in particular, his method of 'deconstruction' that is used by the author of the article to develop the image of Hero that has the basic features of the Other/Alien and so did the views of postmodernists J. Deleza and V. Turner who developed the concept of liminality. As a result of his research, the author has come to the conclusion that the influence of an American comic superhero on the modern cultural environment is tremendous and can be found in the influence on different kinds and genres of art, subculture of comic fans and popular phenomenon of cosplay as well as certain behavioral patterns imitating the behavior of superheroes.
