Abstract: This article discusses a monographic study dedicated to the prominent Russian legal scholar A. I. Elistratov (1822-1955), whose life and works fell on the different historical periods, including a tragic crisis time. The authors of the monograph N. S. Nizhnik, S. Y. Dergileva characterize the intellectual biography of the scholar and his sociopolitical activity in the context of establishment of the police-legal theory within the European and national educational scientific tradition. Subsequent changes in the attitude towards legal scholar and his scientific writings that were popular in Russia prior to the October Revolution are demonstrated through the prism of transformation of state-legal, political-ideological, socioeconomic, educational-scientific customs of the national culture. An effective reconstruction of the scientific biography of A. I. Elistratov became possible due to careful attention to the heritage of national police science and Soviet science of administrative law as a whole, as well as anthropocentric scenario of the conducted research. From the standpoint of historicism and anthropological approach, the peer reviews turns attention to functionality in the culture of complex mechanisms that ensure succession of the traditions. The new monographs demonstrates the importance and research prospects of the separate storylines related to the formation of scholar’s personality and his realization of scientific-pedagogical and sociopolitical activity, for example on the foreign business trips and participation in seminars on law, work of law communities in pre-October Russia, dynamism of educational and scientific activity of the first Soviet decades.

Abstract: The authors carefully examines the problems of establishment of legal education in the east of Russia, namely the Irkutsk State University. Opened in the fall of 1918 university’s law faculty was an organizational academic structure that laid the foundation for the history of the Ural State Law University. Being transformed repeatedly, in 1931 in terms of a big reform of preparation of the Soviet legal personnel, the law faculty became a Siberian (Irkutsk) Institute of Soviet Law; later, in 1934, it was transferred to Sverdlovsk (Ural Region), attaining the name Sverdlovsk Law Institute since 1936. The article uses the groundwork of the so-called anniversary genre and anniversary strategies of cognizing the history of legal education and science. Based on the broad circle of sources, including archival materials, the author demonstrates advancement of the idea of Siberian University, education in the most difficult circumstances of shift of power and regimes, civil war, as well as various aspects of its operation from the perspective of systemic approach. Particular attention is given to the normative-legal, political-ideological, organizational-administrative bases of the work of the faculty. The author also traces the evolution of the content of preparation of highly qualified legal personnel; on the example of difficult fates of the faculty members is demonstrated the “link of times”.

Abstract: In this article the author reviews the textbook by T. F. Yaschuk “Juridical education in the highest school”, in which the author examines historical, theoretical, comparative, and applied aspects of preparing juridical personnel. An assessment is given to the phenomenon of European university with law faculty, traditions of Russian juridical education, as well the difficulties of realization of the positions of Bologna process. The author notes the positive aspects of studying foreign experience in the area of highest juridical education, and demonstrates the special significance of state regulation of preparation of jurists and social-state partnership in this sphere. Accent is made on the importance of theoretical analysis of didactical problems within the highest juridical school, as well as new requirements set before the scientific-pedagogical staff. The broadness of the spectrum of problems presented by T. F. Yaschuk contributes to the more objective, panoramic vision of the state and benefits of development of the highest juridical education. Such approach prompts reasoning on the trends of development of the system of education of professional juridical personnel in the conditions of globalization, making this work useful not only for master’s degree seekers, post-graduate students, and educators of juridical disciplines, but also to specialists in the theory and history of juridical education.

Abstract: This article examines the little-studied historical-legal issue of ideologemes within the education and scientific sphere of Russia during XVIII – XX centuries, as well as their reflection in legislation. The saturation with ideologemes of various layers of legislation, which regulated education and science, is characterized as one of its essential features. Ideologemes and ideological formulas are being viewed as concepts that bind and form the policy and ideology in the area of science and education, as well as the channels of their realization. The article sets the task to determine the ideologemes, ideological formulas, and clichés within the Russian legislation on science and education, and systematize and understand them creatively. It proposes classification of the “science and education” ideologemes. A special attention is given to the formulation by the legislator of tasks for preparation of professional juridical personnel during both, the Imperial era, as well as through the Soviet decades. The author provides a complex demonstration of widely known ideologemes such as Uvarov’s triad or the model of Soviet jurist, as well as the formulas that did not get as much attention from the researchers.

Abstract: In the course of this article the author makes an attempt to combine the research theses associated with conceptualization of the forming in the Russian Empire law education and teaching of state law, primarily in the imperial universities. Significant efforts of the Russian state on the establishment of education and scientific system during the XVIII-XIX centuries (creation of infrastructure, attraction and nurturing of scientific personnel, financial support, etc.) played a positive role in the development of various sectors of scientific legal studies and their affect upon the legal personnel training. The topic of law remained principal among legal scientists, being affected by different factors, including the supremacy of corresponding legal doctrine or their pluralism, politico-ideological context, systematization of legislation, and others. This topic was being studied within the framework of history, philosophy, theory of law, as well as by the representatives of sectoral legal sciences, mainly the science of state law that is included to the education standards of legal personnel training.

Abstract: The article focuses on major legalization, regulate the activities of Russian Imperial University in the second third of the XIX century. University charter in 1835 for a long time had a very negative evaluation, as well as the entire period of the reign of Nicholas I. The prospects of substantial rethinking of the value of the law in 1835, undertaken in recent years. Characterized prerequisites for university reform, the political and ideological context of the birth of the statute, it noted the influence of the ideology of "true enlightenment" and the triune formula Count SS Uvarov, and systematization of the Russian legislation. Special attention is drawn to the developers of the university law. Analyzed separate legal structure of the Charter, based on a comparison with the university legislation early XIX century concludes that significant development of legal technique. Discusses the importance of the educational standard in 1835 for legal education and science of jurisprudence. Systematization of the Russian legislation under the guidance MMSperanskii, dissemination of ideas of the historical school of law and a new standard of training of lawyers in the imperial universities described in conjunction. Moral-political department of the universities were transformed into law schools, increased public interest in scientific jurisprudence.
