Abstract: The subject of this article is ensuring the sustainable development of universities in the period of a new technological order; the object of the article is the university; the purpose of the work is to ensure the sustainable development of universities in the process of forming a new technological order. To achieve this goal, the following tasks of this study are solved: research and clarification of the concept of sustainable development of the university; study of sources of risk of loss of stability in the process of transition of the university to a new technological order; analysis of the structural components of the concept of sustainable development of universities. Scientific methods used in this article are the theory of sustainable development, historical and logical analysis, theory of higher education, theory of technological structures, theory of hierarchical systems, system analysis, forecasting theory, theory of lean manufacturing, and expert methods. The scientific novelty of this article is determined by the formation of the concept of sustainable development university in the period of a new technological order.

The paper "A conceptual approach to solving the problem of sustainable development of the university in the period of a new technological order" is presented for review. The subject of the study. The author considers the formation of the concept of ensuring the sustainable development of the university in the period of a new technological order as the subject of research. The subject is formulated correctly, affecting a certain level for conducting research. Research methodology. The author describes in detail the mechanism of ensuring the sustainability of the development of the higher education system during the formation of a new technological order and describes its main elements. The first element of the mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of the higher education system is the formation of an ecosystem approach in the development of the higher education system. The second element is the further development of distance education based on information technology (smart education). The third element of the mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of the higher education system is the wider use of the project form of higher education. The fourth element of the mechanism for ensuring the sustainability of the development processes of the higher education system is the application of lean production methodology in higher education. The fifth tool is the creation of student ecosystems at universities. The sixth direction of increasing the sustainability of the development process of the higher education system is the further development of innovative organizational culture at universities. The seventh element is to become a product approach in their activities. Relevance. The relevance of the problem raised is related to the risks of the process of universities entering a new technological order in society and the economy. The process of formation of a new technological order is associated with the emergence of new risks in the development of universities, which may cause a decrease in competitiveness and the degree of sustainability of university development during this period. Therefore, as the author rightly argues, in order to ensure the sustainability of the university's development during the period of a new technological order, it is necessary to form a conceptual approach to solving this problem of university development. The tasks set by the author have been completed, the goal has been achieved. Scientific novelty. The planned study is interesting to a greater extent from a theoretical and methodological point of view. They make it possible to recognize ensuring the sustainability of university development as one of the most important tasks of university development management. Style, structure, content. The style of presentation corresponds to publications of this level. The language of the presentation is scientific. The structure of the work is clearly visible. The introduction describes the relevance, hypothesis, purpose, objectives, object, subject, and analysis of modern research works. The main part describes a system of methods and tools that support the sustainability of the development of the higher education system. The next section is a discussion. The conclusion is small. It contains a description of the main conclusions and conclusions reached by the author based on the results of the work. Bibliography. The bibliography of the article includes 20 domestic sources, a significant part of which have been published in the last three years. The problems of the work correspond to the subject of the article. The bibliography contains modern research articles. The literature sources are designed uniformly, there are no deviations from the requirement. In general, the bibliographic list is designed correctly, the requirements have been taken into account in almost all positions. Appeal to opponents. In the scientific work, it is recommended to offer methodological recommendations for the implementation of the concept developed by the author. Ensuring the sustainability of the development of universities and the higher education system in the process of their transition to a new technological order. Conclusions. The article is distinguished by its undoubted relevance, theoretical and practical value, and will be of interest to the scientific community. The work may be recommended for publication.
